History
Founded in 1902 Triumph over the next 60 years became the world's leading motorcycle manufacturer. From the late 1960's and early 1970's they became a victim of the Japanese motorcycle industry who started to produce a wider range of more sophisticated and reliable motorcycles. This combined with industrial disputes during the 1970's signaled the end of the road for Triumph. The rights to the name, were purchased by a property millionaire John Bloor in the UK, and in 1990 a brand new Triumph factory opened at Hinkley in the UK, producing an entirely new range of Triumph motorcycles, able to compete with any other manufacturer in the world. Since then Triumph have grown to become one of the leading motorcycle manufacturers in the world today, renown for innovation and quality.
